Default Stockpiling Ammo for SHTF.

The question is not how much ammo do you have;
but what is a reasonable goal for ammo for your
Primary weapon, not all weapons, just your primary.

20K. Because too much is just enough.

I've burned through more than 1K in a fight. Granted, that was with a belt feed. But still. No such thing as too much.

I wouldn't ever expect to use that much at one time. But, there's nothing wrong with keeping it on hand.

Ya and we are also referring to a gun that will burn through the 500 round boxes in bout a minute easy. I've seen you shoot one-its easy for you to burn 1000......question is did you even hit the frickin ocean?????

I would prefer not to give an indication.

But ammo could be used for procuring items after SHTF.
So stock pile enough.

Just keep buying it for all your weapons, till you run out of practical storage room.

When the shelves begin to buckle, and your closet has no room for your shoes, you are probably close...

Not sold on selling ammo to anyone in a crisis, sorry. I need shoes and boots more now than ammo too...

As far as "giving an indication" that is why I asked the question the way I
did; simply what would your recommendation be; not what are your actual
stocking levels.

Using ammo for trade needs to be done with the upmost reserve.

I look at it this as, in the early days of a collapse best not to trade ammo
period, or it could be used against you. However, as things get settled and
the rebuilding of society starts, basically the bad guys are dead and those
left want to start a more "normal" life. The use of ammo as currency would
be less of a concern to me.
