Gun? Where!? I don't see anything but a bedspread...

Do NOT fall into the "00 Buck" or "reduced recoil and super-tight patterns is da best" crud. It isn't for what you want. For all-purposes I'd go with #0 Buckshot. #1 Buckshot if it's that much easier for you to find. Great outside the house. Indoors and around the house... #4 Buckshot. In the house or apartment #2 Shot or maybe the duplex or BB shot defense loads (latter is pricey so practice with others).

PS: that's a really cool gun and an excellent choice I'd have to say!

Buckshot, definitely, but I agree that 00 isn't always the answer. Personally, I load #1 buck and have 0-buck in the sidesaddle. I hoard/store/collect 00-buck because it is the cheapest, but I prefer the smaller buckshots, since they send more pellets downrange.

Walmart is the best prices ive found for ammo. Other than doing some good shoping online.
