They suck, but they're edible.

LOL, on one of the threads here recently, there was a photo of that English dumbass Bear Grillis. The one with the TV survival show....He's holding a knife, and the caption says "Hand over the piss, and no one gets hurt." I'm surprised you missed it.

Lotta that depends on where u come from. We ate dendelion as kids -- some people lov 'em. Few. Dandelion salad was common for us with some kind of Italian dressing we'd make in a bottle you'd add oil, vinegar and water to, and shake. Very nice.

Ate grape leaves usually stuffed with something. There are plenty of non-garden or farm fruits and vegetables one can eat.

Plantain, sorrel, red clover...

When I lived in Florida, I ate heart of palm. We called it swamp cabbage. I like bamboo at the Chinese restaurants, never made it myself though.

If you have an apple device, survivalpedia is a great app. It might still be free.

Dandelions can also be used to make wine. I've never tried it but heard it was pretty good. I'm guessing it's more of an acquired taste?

The best compass is the one on you. Put a lensatic compass in your vehicles, motorcycles or ATVs and pin the ball compass to every jacket, sweater, butt pack and backpack you own. Then it doesn't matter if it's a car accident, lost while hunting, SHTF or EOTWAWKI - you will know where you are going!
