While I myself agree in general with the philosophy of stockiling and preparing for any eventuality including government problems - that link to the prepper guy seemd a bit hypocritical:
He starts off about the DHS and the government buying all that HP ammo, and body bags, armoured cars, armoured checkpoints, radiation pills and the wire in between highways. Then ends off by saying that he has a live show and that his goal is to help law-enforcement restore order...
I mean sure, he might be trying to avoid raising red flags since saying "I plan to secede from the USA and kill people" probably won't go over well. But he spends his entire (lengthy) article fear mongering about the government purchases and their possible agendas, and then ends with "let's help local law enforcement restore order". I get a weird vibe from that.
Again - I totally support local law enforcement and in no way advocate violence against anyone, but the guy seems hypocritical. He talks about the fear of government and how they're going to kill/enslave us all, then says "help them out".
Oh, and sure why not stock up on ammo. Don't get more than you can afford, but have as much as you think you'll need, then a little more! - and don't neglect other supplies in order to get ammo!
