Thank you all for your suggestions. Although there have been fires recently, I can't see our family moving out of this area. I recently have a friend who did go through a disaster preparation class, and she's been urging me to go as well. Anyone else tried this program?

In addition to disaster kits, what about disaster preparation classes? My friend says he learned a lot and highly recommended it to me
