At peace in the woods
 

So I have the day off work today and went out into the woods just to mess around. Just brought a kinfe some dryer lint (tinder) and a magnesim/striker firestarter, a sweet tea and a BIBLE.

We still got quite a bit of snow on the ground but weather was nice, just needed a light jacket. Took me a while to get the fire going, since everything was wet from snow melting. But I did it get a small fire going. :)

After that was going I cracked open my sweet tea and sat on a rock just chilling next to the fire and taking in nature. Opened up the BIBLE and read a little. And wow does that feel great! Sitting oustide in the snow amongst creation reading the word! I felt so close to GOD and loved every minute of it.

Just goes to show that you do not need a ton of money or you phone or ipad to have an enjoyable day. Just get out there and spend some time with GOD and HIS creation. No cost but it was worth a priceless ammount.

I feel if more people just did somthing like that, the world would be a lot more peaceful.

Ive got a deer stand right next to one of my ponds. I spend time in it all year long.

Most people seem to stay in rush. It eventually becomes a way of life for them and they forget what they are even rushing for. They forget how to enjoy the moment at hand.

There's nothing like a day outside spent just enjoying the moment at hand.:)

Communing with God and his creation is rejuvenating and I recommend it highly to all!
