One Of Them "Gotta-Haves".
I won't be without one again. The best invention since toilet paper.

Are you serious? Did you just now discover these? No offense man but I've seen those things everywhere for a long time and can't help but laugh when I do.

Nawwwww man! I've had one for 2 years now. Nothing better when you're out on the ocean fishing at night.

You can get cheap LED lamps that clip onto the underside of the brim of a cap, as well - so you can wear your favourite branded sports/shooting cap with the same "benefit".

For my own part, I'm not likely to be wearing a hat designed to keep the sun out of my eyes at the hour of night when a lamp would be required.

I'm more likely to be wearing a balaclava or similar, so my preference is one of those LED lamps on an elastic headband - also hands-free.

With the advent of inexpensive LED lamps, I have replaced nearly all incandescent lamps in my camping/survival kits with LED equivalents. They consume far less power and the LEDs are more robust and have longer lives than incandescent bulbs. Everything that used a standard cheap incandescent bulb is obsolete.

Except for my defense lights, all my flashlights are now LED.

Yep, unless it uses some suped-up ultra-bright incandescent bulb, there's an LED lamp that is better.

This place is in danger of having more LED lamps than knives at the moment - and I've got a lot of knives!

The wife got me one of these for Christmas.

It was on my list of goodies for my first backpacking trip this spring. Hey, I'm 54 and will be 55 by the time of the trip. I'm looking forward to something new and a new way to get out there in the wilderness. Camped a lot. Now moving to backpacking in my old age. And with it I gain a lot of real good (if needed) survival gear.
