Thank you, that's the braid I used on my rifle slings (I guess I should say "weave"). I wasn't sure what it was called. But to second your post, yes, the daisy chain weave is a great sling IMHO.

We daisy chain our webbing in our rope rescue bags at the fire dept. It works good to keep them untangled and quick to use. It isn't the best if you want to keep it compact. The donut is very compact, that is what I like about it. Smaller cord can quickly get into a nightmare of a mess unless it is handled right and I don't want that to happen in my bag.
