As I sit here reading the forums, one of my neighbors (that I haven't met) is across the canyon shooting. Now, that in itself isn't all that unusual but this guy or gal is popping off three round bursts and sometime full auto. It doesn't sound like an AR so I'm thinking maybe an AK or something of that caliber.
This area is full of a very independent bunch of people but it seems like this might be a little extreme. Or maybe I'm just jealous.
We live in interesting times.

wouldn't worry about it. he may have a legal fully auto rifle, and if not then i am sure the ATF will sometime soon pay him a visit.

Tell them you're a firearms enthusiast too. Gun owners are a friendly lot [for the most part] and are usually more than happy to show you thier guns. Dude will probably let you shoot it sometime.

It has been more years than I want to admit since I've heard a full auto AK. Besides it's across a canyon and over a hill or two.

I probably will introduce myself but I want to wait and see if the black Suburbans show up in the next week or so.
