Default MRE's

I am currently digging information on MRE's for the civilian usage. I look at information from 2 companies and say the same 36 months max storage if temperatures are 80 degrees.

Here is a site dedicated to MRE's!

MREInfo.com - Home

The new MRE's are actually very tasty. They actually sell them individually at the commisary near me for about 7 bucks.

They have come along way since the "green" MRE's.

Truth. I had some dated around the time I was born and they were still yummy.

I'm from the days of C rats. Some of them were actually decent, most weren't. If I remember correctly, the Pound Cake was good.

Mmmm, Meals Rejected by the Enemy!

I think I'd just pack one or two MRE's because of their limited shelf life and complementing them with freeze-dried backpacking foods that last 7+ years.

There is nothing on Earth like being stuck on a plane when somebody opens a spoiled one. I've got a pretty strong stomach, but I really wanted to puke.

I finally ordered 2 cases of Sopakco Sure-Pak Meals 12 from them directly with the heaters!

I miss the old C-rats and even the military MRE's. At least in the civilian version is less than 1500 Calorie count in each.

Default Try Eversafe

Hi Big Country,

I am new to the site but about 6 months ago I went on a mad MRE buying and trying binge with a couple of my friends and we certainly recommend the Eversafe MRE's.

the link to their sight is now posted right there in the MRE info site. In the end we felt the price was best for the amount and quality of product you receive. Just remember to buy them direct from Wornick.

if you want more and can't get ahold of anyone there let me know and I'll send you the contact info we have there. Two of us split about 15 cases.

Best,
Json
