It's also part of the State of Jefferson.

I presume anyone who should and can is leaving California.

I was moving out of a basement apartment. Mover looked at the secured gun-rack in my kitchenette and asked "are we moving that too Mr. Kazinksi"? That was the just-then-captured Unibomber's name. "No" I laughed, "you won't be touching that." He looked at it for a second more and then asked "is that an 1842 Springfield"? "Yes" I said, clearly surprised, "it is." "Hmmm" he said, "War with Mexico. .69 caliber smoothbore, first percussion, issued to the troops in the field, they hated it." "That..., that's right" I responded, "how do you know that"?

"What do you think History Majors do for a living"? he asked.

If it is a part of the government then i would also like to know more about it. There are many companies which works on moving the household products from one place to the other. I want to know more about these type of companies.

I worked as a mover for many years. The driver is hauling your goods for a percentage of the revenue. He is responsible for hiring the help on both ends and paying them. Also the first $500 damage before the insurance takes over. They are constantly loading and unloading other folks goods. I think if nothing is damaged the main concern is that one of your items was left in the truck. Check your inventory very carefully.
CA357, did you arrive yet?

See this thread for the gory details: http://www.firearmstalk.com/forums/f61/we-finally-escaping-occupied-kalifornistan-71681/

How are you doing? I know the mortgage company can be a pain.
When you get settled, it might take a while until you can clear your head from all the "california only" laws. It took me awhile to realize that no one was going to arrest me for a hicap mag or my AR. It finally sank in when I went to a store, bought a pistol and took it home after about 15 minutes.

We're still in the motel, hoping to close this week. Once we're actually moved in, I'll get our ID set up and get my CCW etc.

I have been following your move Don. So far it looks like one screw up after another by the Realtor and the lender.
