One good thing is that you have hired a like minded prepper for the move. You should have no problems.

What about renting a truck and load the things you're concerned about and have the mover do the rest of your stuff?

My wife can no longer drive and we have to get the car up there. We also have to transport three cats. So, I'll be driving the car which will have a trunk full of ammo, a couple of suitcases and some essentials that we'll need right away.

My buddy is coming up in a week or two and is bringing the propane, kerosene, lamp oil etc. in his truck. He's also giving me a full size table saw for the shop.

This is the only way it's possible right now. We move this Friday, the 28th and our goods won't arrive until the 3rd or 4th. It's going to be weird and scary not having the backup that I've been putting together since the Y2K scare.

Welcome to the PNW!

The bad news is your still in a blue state.

The good news is that as long as you stay out of Multnomah County, you'd never know it.

I'll be down in Bend next weekend for a golf/poker/shooting weekend with some good friends. Don't know your at but Eastern and Southern Oregon are great.

Tack

Nice area!

Southern Oregonians call that region Orifornia...

Northern Californians call it Caligon...

It's the mythical 51'st state where all productive "West Coasters" would move if it only existed!

Tack
