Default Molle II rufelman rucksack help

I got a Molle II rucksack rifleman backpack up at the gun and knife show this past month and it seemed to be a good buy. I picked out the one I liked and when I got home and started to pack thing into the bag, I get a strong smoke smell inside all the compartments on the pack. do you know if this is normal? or did I just grab the wrong bag at the show?

I don't know if the smoke smell is normal but I would take that any day over the moth ball smell most packs have.

Or the smell of dog urine bought a pack a while back from a yard sale didnt stink on the outside but in the inside it reeked to high heaven i have no clue how that worked tried washing it didnt help ended up trashing it.

Just embrace the smoke smell it could always be worse.

Maybe the vendor is a smoker.
