We call them hobo dinners. Yours seem rather spartan, sure they are good though.

Ground beef some Italian sausage, taters, onions, garlic, bell peppers maybe some carrots. Really what ever you like that can stand up to the heat. Oh mushrooms

I kinda like that name.

Ive tried it with a few different things. But the simple was my favorite. Though fish and fruit was really pretty good.

And then there is always smoked with a pork butt. Use the veggies instead of slaw.

we call it a "tater boat."

chopped taters bout 3/4" cubes, GENEROUS amount of butter, Tony Chachere's to taste, and garlic powder wrapped in aluminum foil (that looks like a boat when finished rolling up closed), throw on grill.

that's just a GREAT way to do taters..........add whatever you want.

we also have a "vege boat" - squash, celery, garlic cloves, onions, bell peppers (all colors), banana peppers, jalapeno peppers, and whatever else you want...........plus the butter and Tony's.

slap-yo-granny good!

We call them foil packs, too. we make them the same way. They have been the first meal of every camping trip for as far back as I can remember.
