Default Massive depopulation

It does not have to be everyone for this to happen.

Would be fun to be one of the survivors if there were any. But with my luck I would be one of the ones that mysteriously disappeared. And if that happens I guess I don't need to worry about anything anymore. Kind of a kooky video. I only made it through about 5 minutes.

Hell in the first grade I had friends who wanted to be Dwarfs. Humm!! hanging with a babe called "Snow White". Don't worry , most people grow up and become adults.

It is the first 15-20 minutes that is critical. You need to get through the first 2 weeks of the scenario. If there was a massive depopulation like a plague or a collapse there are dangers this exposes of what will happen when people are not there to control things like chemical plants, natural gas and nuclear power plants. These are largely overlooked in planning for survival. The nuclear power plants would automatically shut down but it is the spent fuel storage that is critical and dangerous.

Wasn't able to see past 10 mins. The video kept playing but the picture froze. This reminds me of the show I think it was called after humans. It was a series showing in depth what would happen and how long it would take for the earth to look like we were never here.

As I have mentioned before if you haven't read the book "One Second After" you should sometime. It will make you think.

Gun confiscation will not happen in my lifetime.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." I saw that. It was an interesting video. It was amazing that all traces of our existance will eventually disappear. Buildings too.

No there are no predictions of doom. It is just showing what would happen if no one was minding the store. there are a lot of survivalists out there that have no clue what would happen if things really did shut down.

I got a buddy who was an engineer on The Dalles Dam for years. he says if no one was monitoring the dam and power was cut off to the automatic controls (which are very limited) he says that the dams on the upper Columbia would last between 3-4 years. And that should one dam even one of the lower Columbia big dams were to give way they are designed to have minor breaches not big disaster movie type failures and any one of the Lower dams would maintain during the failure of at least the three dams above it.

but he says that he wouldn't bet on the system lasting more then 7 years without human control.
