List Your Favorite Fictional Doomsday/Apocalypse/Preparation Books
Please list your favorites. It's always nice to have a new read.
Some of mine are: "One Second After" "Patriots" "Molon Labe" "Unintended Consequences" "Enemies, Foreign & Domestic" "American Apocalypse" & "American Apocalypse II" "Civil War II" About the first ten or so books of the "Ashes" series by Wm. Johnstone |
I haven't thougt about the Ashes books in a long time. A friend was reading and buying them and passed them to me. I don't even know how far I got in them, but it got kind of far-fetched after a while. Something about a space shuttle landing on the interstate comes to mind.
The same friend has the Rawles book that I'm supposed to get from him sometime. |
"One Second After" changed my outlook on the Apocalypse!!
Then there are: Farham's Freehold by Robert Heinlein The Postman by David Brin |
Is Unintended Consequences available online or only in print?
|
Both, I think.
|
"The Road" Cormac McCarthy (even better than the movie)
"The Stand" Steven King |
Great post. Looks like im heading to borders soon.
|

I haven't got into the apocalypse genre ..... looks like it's time to hit up Amazon.com
Thanks for the list guys ;) |
Fireguy, I agree. The first Ashes books were pretty good and then he rode that horse into the ground.
Oh yeah, I just finished "Go-Go Girls of the Apocalypse". It was interesting. |
