On the lighter side..!

In the "SCENARIOS" posted in many places , I'm not seeing much team work.!
How are you going to pull together when the need arises..?

I live in a very small community with a very small number of people , Summer months , about 17 people.
Winter , about 11. We live in the ready mode at all times.
We have no mail service , road maintenance , not even trash pick-up.
No 911 and just each-other most times.
Everybody here is pretty efficient and quite talented in there own fields.

People are there without asking.
PS:-All people here are hunters and GUN friendly..!
This is nothing to do with the Present "Gloom and Doom' , it is a life style just being here. All are quite accommodating and I don't see much of a change
in any imaginable scenario less "Biblical" events.
Most here garden every year , chickens , couple of horses , etc..
Just a way of life here and Ars-holes won't fare well here.!
Been this way for years and we all have been Field-tested many ways and times..!

Do you "Play" well with others..?
No man is an ISLAND........!

Too true! Realtors say the 3 most important things with property are location, location, location. I have good neighbors, and few of them- they are like minded folks. One plows my garden for me, I help him with electrical wiring and things that need skill with a chainsaw. Neighbor on the other side- I do some minor gunsmithing for him, he came over with the loader and helped move some trees after a hurricane.

We are all accustomed to going "off the grid", and helping each other where we can.

Darwin at it's best , "HARMONY".....My hats off to you and yours..! :)

C3shooter..! I know hurricanes well . Started my business in South West Fla.
Naples ,for more years than I care. Big money and large wallets.
All you have to do is back up your promises and live by word of mouth.
Off and running ,just my wife and me , off and running..!

2005 , Charlie , at that exact time it hit , my wife and I were tie-ing up all loose ends on the home I have now. Watched the "EYE" at a pub scootch over my very neighbor-hood on THE WEATHER CHANNEL..! :eek:My house down there was
on the market , Eeeeck..! I'll keep it short.

The inter-action between my old neighbors vs my "KNEW" neighbors was critical
both ways. I have been blessed with the right people in both places.

Know and love Thy neighbor..You know what I mean , "Dawgs"..! :)

Where are you located? I would love living in a place like that! I live in rural Ohio at the momment and it is good here. My town is nice, but would love to live in even a smaller populace. Lived in North Dakota for a while, and those are some very self reliant people. Glad you have such a place to lay your head, people make the place not the other way around. :)

I'm not all that far from you , maybe three hours. I live right in the heart of the Pa. wilds. On the fringes of Cooks Forest and the Clarion River to the North and Mill creek to the South with McCunna run to the east.

In the middle of a hard-wood forest surrounded by more forests.(SIGH).!
You familiar with "Hocking County State Park ,Southern-Mid Ohio ,. Used to rock climb and repel at Ash Cave , Cronkles Hollow , Old Man's Cave , Cantwell Cliffs , Cedar Falls , ETC..!
It would be west of Rose Lake and East of Seven Caves..?:)

Well hello there neighbor! Yeah I love hocking hills! I try to go there once a year. I acctually propsed to my feiance at old mans cave! I live over on the west side of Ohio, it is all flat land here for the most part. So I love to head east and enjoy the hilly regions of ohio and PA. I also do a canoe trip with some old military friends on the mohican river once a year. :)

You also got the Little Miami River there with interesting land-scape from erosion from the river. From there all the way to the Gulf of Mexico Kool.

Also from here to the Gulf , but slightly different route..! :) Canoe that is.! :D
