Here’s to the FirearmsTalk.com Forum. Welcoming newcomers, where we can spend leisurely time chatting and having discussions, showing pictures, helping others with answers to questions, in good nature joking around and making fun, getting serious when we need to be, and buying or selling items.

The .45 Colt (LC - Long Colt) cartridge is a handgun cartridge dating to 1872. It began as a black powder revolver round developed for the Colt Single Action Army revolver, but is also a common magnum level handgun hunting round in modern usage. This cartridge was adopted by the U.S. Army in 1873 and served as the official US military handgun cartridge for 19 years.

Here's my current inventory, at the top is an Ithaca featherlite 12 ga,below that is Marlin 336 in .30-.30, and my Marlin model 60 .22, also my colt "official police", .38 sp. I also have an OLD eastern arms 12 ga single barrel break open that I am in the middle of making a new stock for. I'll post pics of that before and after, in the DIY section when it's done.

Thanks Hillbilly, I'm not sure how old it is , I got that from my father who had it forever, I think he got in the 60's maybe. It's a great piece, fun to shoot. Actually all these guns are from at least the 70's, nothing newer in the collection. That is untill I can get that springer 1911!!
