I think it was fake. (notice how he brought his hand to his body and fumbled for a sec. like he was applying something to look like blood)

Ever get a nasty cut?
Blood doesn't instantly spurt everywhere like the movies (assuming you haven't nicked a major artery...of which the thumb is not). I have sliced my thumb pad clean open with a razor blade from a substrate cutter at my old job (sign shop). It took about three or four seconds for the blood to actually reach the floor....if he had pressure on it (which I would), it might take a few seconds to start seeing the blood. __________________
