I have a Swiss Gear by Wenger laptop backpack model # GA-7305-14F00 that I use everyday at work. I carry my laptop, a 3D maglite, and about 10-15 lbs of miscellaneous tools and parts in it. I have had it for about 5 years now and I am not nice to it but it still looks like new. You say you keep ripping the handles on the ones you have, I don't think it would be a problem with this bag as the handle is made of steel cable and is riveted to the rest of the bag. I highly recommend it.
