DefaultHow much ammo to stockpile for SHTF

What is a realistic amount of ammo to store. I heard of people storing 250k of ammo total that seems kinda unrealistic to me. But you never know how much ammo for My hunting/home defense rifle, centerfire,Side arm.
Thanks Aaron.

Too much and you cant pack it, 500 rounds or so of each ammo type would do. It aint no good if you cant pack it around with you.

Anything more than what you can carry will simply be spoils of war.

The carry issue is only for the really bad SHTF scenario that you have to bog out.

2000 rounds per caliber is a popular amount.

Keep mags loaded and webgear ready to go if you need to scram, but don't plan on scramming unless you have to. And make sure you have one or more bug-out locations to scram TO. Have ammo (and food, water, etc.) stored at those locations, too.

If you plan on being the spelling police...make sure yours are correct as well. Go back to the first one you posted that is more than a sentence long to see what I mean.
