You are right about people being removed from the source of our food.

When I go to the grocery I notice the amount of processed food in peoples basket. They are piled high with frozen pizzas, eggos and such.Everything in a package ready to be microwaved. Very little raw foods or vegtables. I imagine some people don't know or won't cut raw meat for say stew. Our average homemade meal cost about 2.50 each. I am a big ole boy and likes my meat and such.

On a side note I see all the garbage cans out by the street on garbage day. Most of my niehbors have two, overflowing and smashed down. We have one and rarely get it half way. I'm not trying to be green or anything by cooking from scratch but less packaging is a good thing.

Our parents and grandparents used to can and dehydrate foods, if not them than a generation back surely did. I'm wondering if cooking is going out with my generation.

do all you can to research the preservation of food without refrigeration......The time is near that only two types will survive in the long run.......Then it will be those that have prepared that will out last those that prey on said people..... Guns, ammo, food for one are two years and seeds to plant for the hard times..... most would be winter crops, the reason being we are in for a global freeze.....Don't wait till the last moment unless you live where the where they can't touch you.....

Global freeze? I know there are small ice ages, the last ending just before the civil war. I have not heard we were in for a cold snap.

Scientist are predicting another ice age, so much for global warming...... They go together, Mother nature has it's sights on the human population, so what does mother nature throw into the mix of mans stupidity to wipe humans off the face of the blue marble......Be safe, be prepared.......

It's been in the 30's and 40's all winter and only a couple of inches of snow...up until today... first real cold snap of the winter, it'll will go below zero tonight. In my 50 some years in Minnesota, I've never seen such mild temps.
