Shade-it would be nice if you would give a hint what the link is to.

The 5 First Symptoms of SHTF
Symptom 1: More violence in your area
Symptom 2: Group behavior changes, survival brings people closer and makes others less human
Symptom 3: Dead streets
Symptom 4: New leaders emerge
Symptom 5: Nobody to trust anymore

I don't know, the constant rattle and clink of tank treads from down the street?

You pass out on the couch downstairs and when you wake up you notice your house is gone from above the basement.

Everyone seems to be walking past your house like they have low blood sugar and then in unison they begin chasing some screaming guy.

The test pattern on your tv is in Chinese.

The new sheriff drives an 83 F150 and wears a wife beater with a desert eagle tucked in his camo pants.

My DVR quits.

When the dark roast is no longer available on the shelves.

When the dead body lying in the street is still there a week later.

Default Interesting

That was interesting. I think most of us think about SHTF as a sudden catastrophic event like the day after Katrina? It would be more difficult to recognize a slower decline.

SHTF is a Urban Legend.

It's fueled by merchants, who are selling out of all their

rusty barbed wire, WW2 canteens and combloc gas-masks,

sitting back at Martha's Vineyard, sipping maitais, and

LAUGHING at us. TEOTWAWKI is just a scary bedtime story,

designed to sell worthless crap for ten times it's value.

In any event, if we had a real SHTF, I doubt it would be any

kind of not obvious...
