Eustace and old man Tom are my favorites. They are in their element come hell or high water. Great show!

At least Eustace was protecting his own land by going out on horseback, armed, to find poachers. That's good stuff.
I didn't understand how the fellow in MT was going to leave for a trade show to sell his knives, etc., and he leaves his wife with a single shot shotgun. Huh? Why doesn't he have several guns, including at least a lever action 30-30? I don't get that. The original mountain men that built the west were all probably armed to the gills.
I know I would be in that situation.
I'm liking the show, however! Too bad there are no episodes right now during the summer. I'm waiting...

AIN'T NONE OF'EM MOUNTAIN MEN. they may live close to 'em, but as for being mountain men.........the hell you say!
Eustace is a hippie, hillbilly wanna-be. i was majorly disappointed when he didn't pull a Quigley on the turkey poacher, "firing in the air over his head and tellin him that he'd bounce the nextun clean thru'em."
Marty is just a bush pilot tryin to survive on a few pelts, and caribou meat. he might take clients on hunts occasionally when he can.
and Tom, well Tom is an old man who is prolly, or was prolly an old ranch ram-rod that was put out to pasture. but his employer was good to him and let him live on a parcel of his land because of his service to the ranch and family for all those years.
it's entertainin to watch how others live, or have lived their lives in other parts of the U.S.
