The real mountainmen aren't watching as they are up in those mountains struggling against the elements, but maybe there is a retired mountainman living in the comfort of the city watching this show on his big screen rolling over with laughter.

Guy aims scoped Savage 99 at deer...guy presses trigger.....gun goes bag.....guy misses his mark......guy calls it a miss-fire! Guy allowed newb to sight in rifles without supervision and checking zero before the hunt. And, by the way.....did those taxes get paid? There are a lot of holes in this show.....

.
That makes 2 of us.

Any seasoned hunter would NEVER allow another person to site in their hunting weapon, EVER!!! To blame the gun for your miss is newb mistake number 2!! A miss-fire?? Good God man!!!

As to the nitwit in Montana....as i said before, they aint THAT far out in the boonies if the have telephones...if the have phones, they have electricity!! The familys hunting camp in the U.P. of MI is far enough out there are no phones or electricity or running water!! Secondly, he needs to learn to train a dog...that ellie is about as dumb as stone...and it is NOT her fault shes stupid. Dogs are just a direct reflection of their owner!!

The idiot in AK i want to see become wolf scat. If he had an arctic cat instead of a She Doo from the 60's he might not be walking all the time! "hiking 10 miles with an engine on his back?? Gimme a fargin break!!

To sum it up, this show is a JOKE!!!

Watching that Justin kid sight in the rifle was nuts! Grip was all off and trigger pull looked super sloppy. I can't imagine he is going to hit anything.

That show is full of holes, but it's still better than the overwhelming majority of the shows on. Darn that's sad.

Isn't that the truth

I think the guy in Alaska is named Marty......he can't take a gun (although he had a rifle slung over his back just moments before!).....knows not to get sweating, but does so anyhow.....lives in the bush, but didn't really think walking 10 miles in 60 below temperatures, at night, on kiddy snow shows, was going to be that hard......returns the next day, again without a rifle, carry a 70 pound engine which you can't see him carrying.....runs off the trail and cracks the steering linkage......how did this guy get his pilots license and make enough income to afford a Super Piper Cub, plus there was another Cessna in the background back at the home front when he left for the cabin!!

I'm wondering with all the bad decisions the three of them have made in only two episodes, how they managed to get through life up to this point?

But.....to your point "T"......sadly it is better than most of the other garbage on TV.

I think the producers are the problem. They're obviously trying to create drama out of nothing. That just kills the whole show, and there's no need for it. All of them live in interesting places and have interesting lives. It's the mundane every day things that make what they do interesting; Not the dramatic sudden, possible, maybe, potential, serious, and emanate threat that............ never happens.

Just so long as the bear dies of terminal indigestion.

So disappointed in the show. Did a lil internet search on Eustace and Turtle Island. Its definitely no what the show makes it out to be. Reading the book The Last American Man a biography on Eustace Conway.
