Melted snow is fine. It just takes a lot. About a foot of snow melts to about an inch of water.

Again...Snow is NASTY. Bird feathers, droppings and assorted other filth.

10" snow = 1" water....for the record.

Well you don't get your snow from directly under an eagles nest. Lol

snow is super easy to melt and filter tho. all u need is a sleeve/pant leg, some rocks, sand and a very small amount of charcoal.

Alright... I think I am throwing in the towel on this one. Marty gets stranded 10 miles away from his cabin every episode. Tom wanders around every episode causing his wife to think he's lost or hurt. Eustice argues with Justin the whiny baby. Okay thats our season... bring back Moonshiners on Discovery. -We got guuuns. N we got shine. We be aight. -Tickle

I don't think this show will get a second season! I think the producers are in a race to see which show they can make the participants look the worse. The stars don't have any control over the editing, but they sure are making us Rednecks look bad. It's now a comedy for me, and the wife I have have had some good laughs. The real mountainmen aren't watching as they are up in those mountains struggling against the elements, but maybe there is a retired mountainman living in the comfort of the city watching this show on his big screen rolling over with laughter.

Guy aims scoped Savage 99 at deer...guy presses trigger.....gun goes bag.....guy misses his mark......guy calls it a miss-fire! Guy allowed newb to sight in rifles without supervision and checking zero before the hunt. And, by the way.....did those taxes get paid? There are a lot of holes in this show.....
