Watching episode 2 now. Marty must make a one mile trip to the river to fill two large buckets of water every other day. Because he doesn't know what snow is made of. Jacka$$

Yeah, thats episode 2. I was asking the SAME thing...if your in the wilderness and you KNOW you have wolves and grizzlies and other dangerous critters about, it seems to my (in my insane way of thinking) that the FIRST piece of equipment one would have when walking more than 2 feet from the cabin would be a high powered rifle! But thats just me.

In the first episode his sled broke down 10 miles from home as well...twice in two episodes it broke down

I am not for thinking i will be watching this show for much longer.
Yeah...in the one seen he hops of the snowmobile, checks his traps with rifle on his back and then hops back on the snowmobile and pull starts it and it wouldn't start...no rifle, it diappeared in seconds from one scene to the next...pure dramatization.

These guys aren't camping or survivalists...they supposedly live in these areas year round. More of pioneer living than survivalist.
