Default A great book for preppers

I highly recommend "Rawles on Retreats and Relocation" by James Wesley Rawles. It has information for beginning preppers as well as those who've been working on it for a while. I find myself rereading it every six months or so. There's a "List of Lists" that I find particularly helpful.

It covers Urban preps, best locations for a retreat, firearms, food etc.

J.W. Rawles is the author of "Patriots", a fictional book, but a realistic primer on survival. He also runs Survivalblog. (link: an excellent resource for preparation minded folks.

Here's a link for the book:

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”Samuel Adams
