I wouldn't worry about drills nearly as much as being more self sufficient. Learn to grow a garden, hunt, fish, and to make things. :)

Take your gear, go camping.

I agree with seven. Go spend a couple nigths in the woods with what you think is what you need. It wont take long to realize what you dont have.
