What happens when the power goes out?

Simple.

Mass panic, chaos and intolerable conditions.

The most recent breakdown of a Carnival Cruise liner gives us a prime example of what it looks like when it hits the fan. And for the 3000 passengers on that boat, that’s exactly what happened.

It S--- hit the fan, the walls, hallways and everything else.

This Carnival cruise was just a closed microcosm of what conditions will look like should it happen on a regional or national scale. Lucky for them help arrived, and passengers have disembarked and many are now headed home.

But, consider what it would be like should the power go out in your city – for an extended period of time – and there is no ‘going home’.

You cant walk off of a ship in the middle of the ocean. The major cities would see a mass evacuation by roving bands of starving people willing to kill to get food and safe water. They will form gangs for both protection and force of numbers. The most cold blooded will climb to leadership. There is safety in numbers and every one of us should have a group of people they can depend on. We will also have to learn to be cold blooded to survive.
I did notice the SHTF now means Schumer hit the fan. A very good synonym.

That is why I don't do cruises. Stuck on someone else's boat and if something like this happens you are indeed stuck - literally up the creek without a paddle.

The ship was not a very good example. Those people knew things would be fine in a couple days(and they had food and water). And they couldn't break any law as then they would go from a smelly boat directly to a smelly jail. In SHTF, an ugly situation would soon see very ugly(and deadly) reactions from people. I think we will all see the real thing soon enough anyway.

They were referencing those big cities with high rise buildings, the boat was more of how bad it was. That is why I or my wifeo would not do a floating entertainment thing.

Those cities would be an off limit zone, alot of hurt in those cities.

Read it again. Those people were hoarding and fighting over food. Yes they got help in the form of a tow boat but what if weather conditions had gone bad and there was no help for a week? It does show very well what would happen. The grocery stores would not last more than a couple of days if that long before they were stripped. In the big cities with gun control guess who is armed. The criminal element and the gangs will take over quickly as they are armed and organized. The strong will take from the weak. The helpless will die quickly. The predators will prey on the sheeple.
