Lots of good stuff here.

Now, if a guy had to choose one lure to catch fish if need be, then I would choose a white jig. Put a couple in your BOB along with some fishing line or collapsable rod/reel.

Trot lines work great like mentioned. Plus, you can get turtles that way as well.

Hmm never had turtle soup before I have however caught a huge one with a cricket.

'Round these parts, people set trot lines to catch large catfish and snapping turtles. The favored way of eating the turtle is to roll the meat into balls, bread them and then deep fry. Turtle balls.

We have turtles all over here, maybe it's time to wipe the dust off the 10-22
