Default Effective & efficient fishing

What would you say is the best way to get fish from say a pond. It doesn't even have to be legal. Crankbait, noodling, dynamite, bugzapper, etc. No I'm not going to do anything that's not sportsmanlike, just curious.

trot line. safe means of fishing requires no interaction allowing you to do other things while its working which is key for survival

Anything really, nothing specific.

Gill netting would be the first choice as it's hands off and will pretty much guarantee you dinner each and every night.

Explosive Decompression (an M80 or the like of a tennis ball with a cannon fuse and some gunpowder) would also be effective, but loud as hell.

WD-40, believe it or not, is quite amazing at attracting fish of several species. Illegal as all hell, but effective none the less.

Same as dog biscuits stuffed into a beer can

If you have no meat it makes good bait for a yabby trap too..

Drain pond, collect dinner.
Kinda destroys the renewable resource, but when you're hungry this is the only foolproof method I know to catch fish

You put live bait on a hook. Or you get a really good spinner or jig. You spray some WD-40 on it. You cast and catch as you normally would.

WD-40 is sweet to the taste and leaves a rainbow pattern in the water. ESPECIALLY in the world of "pond" fishing (bass/perch) it works at a level of 4 or 6 to 1 versus "normal" fishing methods in the same environment.
