Buddy of mine is a fireman. many years ago he went on a heart attack call. The old man died but old Cooley asked the new widow if she wanted to sell the short bed Chevy Step-side out in the driveway. The old man wasn't even cold yet, but Cooley got the truck the next day.

The dude is a master!

myself, I have an Early Bronco that has been on the disabled list for some time. Back in the day it was a damned good wheeler (and will be again someday). I will try to find some pics (I think I have posted them before). I also really dig the old Flat Fender Jeeps and would love to build one up one day.

1979 International Harvester Scout II, this is a one owner I found for an uncle back in 2011 with 121,021 miles on it, 304 IHC engine, 727 Torqueflite, Dana 44's with 3.07 gears:

It wasn't running when we got it, long story short, the older gentleman that bought it new from the Showroom in Tulsa in 1979 had let it sit for a little while, the gas in the tank turned and gummed up the carburetor, he dropped the tank and while doing it had a heart attack and had to have quad bypass. He and his wife were moving to an assisted living community and couldn't take it. I found it, called my uncle immediately even though it was midnight, he got all excited, went out first thing the next morning with $600 and bought it! Beat 10 other people to it! Runs like a dream!

We had the gas tank vatted at a friend's radiator shop, new sending unit, fuel pump, rebuilt carb, and fuel filter on both the carb and fuel line, that way the one on the line will pickup majority before it hits the carb just in case.

Found some original Scout Rallye Wheels with new Yokohama Geolander 30x9.50x15 tires on them(less than 150 miles) and we installed them.
