I've got a lot of the really good multi-tools.

Most of the Leathermen, SOGs, some

Gerbers, a Victorinox-- they are great light duty

tools, but if you lean on them hard, the

best ones made are still going to fold.

IMO, if you have experience, and a deft

hand, the SURGE, VIC and large Gerber are all

great. But for anything which is going to take

hard tool usage, you probably want to bite the

bullet, and get the proper tool.

I'd say nail-clippers would clearly be a useful addition here...
