So I keep two BOBs, a smaller one in the car, and a SHTF model.
I keep a fixed blade in both.
For the mini BOB, I roll Gerber...

The LMF is designed for Grunts.
And it's one of the Gerbers still made in the U.S., an unfortunately growing rarity.
Sharpener built into the sheath, pry bar tough, and not terribly pricey...

Definitely decent quality knife that are reasonably priced. I have a Gerber Big Rock Camp knife that has been a solid performer for the price.

The SOG Fasthawk is pretty tiny.
Yet, for the size, it holds up pretty well as a camp tool.
It'll take some time to fell a tree, but it can be done. I tried it...

About $30, not much less than it's full sized brother. But when smaller is key, it sort of fills a void.

I've got the same one in my bag. Very effective. Great balance for throwing too.

I'm sorry, sir, but where does the KUKRI fit into the whole BOB vs. Mini BOB vs. SHTF BOB fit?
