Sorry, bud. These are hard times.
If you're going to go to that effort, I recommend the Federal Reserve Bank in New York (on Liberty Street). It has just over $160 billion in gold. Ft. Knox has less - somewhere in the neighborhood of $130 billion. Yes, that's right. The largest gold repository in the United States is not controlled by the government, and most of the gold in it is owned by foreign interests.

I got nothing but some ammo and a pantry. It wont be enough, so I'll have to join JD in some gold robbery. Does anyone know of any peoples with some weapons and empty wallets that would care to join our merry band of miscreants?

Good to know. *makes note to research Google Maps for Infill and Exfill around Liberty Street*
Ineff - you are in charge of transport. I got weapons covered. We are going to need sharpshooters and an explosives guy. Plus some big, strong gorillas like Robo to pack the gold out....

Each bar weighs in at around 27lbs.

There are 122 such compartments.
Better have good shocks on whatever your getaway car is.

See, that's EXACTLY the sort of logistical planning that made this country great. Insight, forethought and balls.
I'm in.

I can help carry, and I'll bring the fishing gear. Gotta think long term. Man cannot live on gold alone.
