I have plenty of 22 ammo on hand. If I had not been shooting IPDA events I would have a lot of 9mm on hand. I bought 1000 rounds of 357 ammo by dumb luck less than a month before the ammo shortage set in. Ammo prices had been hedging up and I bought the 357 ammo as a hedge against inflation. I bought 1600 rounds of mini mags from Walmart when they had the large boxes on hand. I have at least 4 boxes of federal bulk 22 ammo.

I would like to see ammo on the shelf. But if zombies attack I can hold them off for a while.

As a baseline everyone should own at least the following to cover all situations -
A hunting rifle (I've amended this to be something in a "Wal-Mart" caliber)
A magazine fed autoloading rifle
A shotgun
A full-size centerfire handgun
A compact or subcompact handgun
A rimfire pistol
A rimfire rifle

Obviously not a hard and fast rule, but if you have at least one of each you should be covered for most situations.
Am I drunk or do I really only see 6

That was my excuse for my 32 acp

Right now I can get all the common hunting Cals. at wal-mart, 06, 30-30, 270, 243, 12, 20, and 410 gauge, 32acp, and 25auto. But don't even try and get any of the other cals. they are sold out for years to come.

I just left Walmart with 10 boxes of 9mm 115 gr federal ammo. The sporting goods manager woke me up at 7 am to come get it before all the gun shop owner get there and buy it all up. She quit telling anyone when the truck is coming. I knew giving her a good price on disking her garden would come back to me.

My guy at wally world showed me his incoming ammo invoice Wednesday. He was getting 1 (one) box of 9 mm. one case each of 5 different 12 ga. loads. 1 100 rd. box of .22 LR. Everything else was backordered. Plus they had a 3 box limit on ALL ammo.
I asked him if he thought this was just a temporary thing or the way it was going to be for the foreseeable future. He was NOT optimistic about the future.
By the way, Im in the Peoples Socialist Republic of Kalifornia. ( the part we free men like to call Jefferson.)
