I like everything except the vertical grip. It's a nice mid range gun with plenty of knock down. If I bought one it'd be the wood stocked "rifle" though just for history sake. :-)

It is a new semi auto copy of an M14. Where is the history in that? It is not like he committed sacrilege on a Garand. I may not agree with his choices but it is his gun and he can do what he wants. I thought he had shown restraint. I have seen pictures posted on this forum where it is hard to find the gun there is so much junk on it..

Like I said I like the way he set it up for a handy mid range gun(ranch rifle comes to mind) but if I'm spending the money for a M14 it means more to me to shoot it the way it was originally set up. Not bashing his gun at all. I already have AR's for carbines so the tacticool factor is covered. :-)
