Caseless ammo for survival purposes
Interested to know if there are any caseless ammo stockpiling strategies you guys can recommend...

I want to go with a caseless round becasue I will be able to store up to 1/3 more and cut down on some weight in the hole also. As you are well aware brass takes up to 1/3 the total weight of the round and I want to carry all I can when SHTF ... sooner rather than later.

This is my stockpiling strategy. 50% of ammo stock is for defense, 25% for practice, 25% for non-regeneration: meaning I will be using it for kill and it can't/won't be recycled into new rounds.

Also looking to get a decent vehicle for survival scenario when SHTF that won't cost an arm and a leg to refuel and will be easy to get parts for when it inevitibly busts and such.

Welcome to the forum:)

I don't really have any answers for you, but I do have a couple of
questions. Looks like you have given this some thought, so----

What caseless ammunition caliber/system are you aware of that is
currently manufactured and commercially available?

How the heck do you "recycle caseless ammo" into new rounds?

It is called black powder and you can mail order the firearms that utilize it.
Here is an alternative. Use a revolver and a rifle that take the same round. 357, 44 mag etc. Lee sells a small hand loading tool that works very well with the pistol rounds. Carry bullets, primers, powder and reuse the brass. This was done in the wild west as ammunition was expensive.

U11, welcome to the forum- please stop by the intro thread and say hello.

For now, I am going to shut this thread down- with the exception of muzzleloaders, I am unaware of any caseless cartridge that is in general production. It is possible you may have a misunderstanding of the term.
