Always always always keep OFF with you. Nothing ruins a camping excursion more than damned horseflies, Mosquitos, leaches, ticks, and all that other crap bugging you the entire duration.

And always bring a camera.

ALWAYS FIELD TEST YOUR GEAR.

Nothing will eff up a great trip worse

than assuming some POS works, just

to find out it's folded on you out in

the woods.

As to bugs, those paper matchpacks

again. Eat a couple matchheads a day for a

week or so before

you head into the woods. The sulphur sours your

sweat, and the bugs won't bother you.

Buy widescreen tv and recliner. Sip ice cold beer while asking yourself 'what kind of moron wants to be out in this weather anyways?'

LOL.....Now that,s roughing it....! As far as new gear , I,ve always tried new gear in my back yard before I actually had to use it !

LOL, have to agree, but a nice camper will make the stay much better. Just have to find room for the widescreen TV and X-Box, a small power generator and a satilite dish is a must , a roof top air conditioner and and a decent size frige to store bait as well as brew comes in handy, just make sure you take a member of the opposite sex with to help keep warm on cold nights.
