From readin most of these most of yall stay close to your vehicles lol, Last time I went camping it started off with a two mile hike into the woods and I was met by rain and thunder, I stayed out there three nights it stopped raining by day 2. I don't like to stay near my vehicle just because if someone it driving by it makes it awkward when I'm taking a bath in a creek. Also better chance to get a free dinner the farther away I am from people.

Either way as minimal as "comfortably" possible.
I'm jealous, we don't have scenery like that in Missouri

Just had a thought- one other type of camping that we do in the summer- float camping.

14 ft Jon boat. Good friends, fishing tackle, food and consumables. No motor. Park one vehicle at take out point, drive 40 miles up river, put in, take a few days to drift with the river, fish, good spots to camp overnight on the bank.

Couple of days of playing Huck Finn on the river with friends. No blisters from hiking, with no motor, can carry 3 of us and 300 lbs of stuff.
