What I find ironic is that bag and sack can be interchangeable.
What he calls a bag, many others call a duffle. To me, this seems like one of those magazine vs clip anal retentive instances.

Anal retentive. Guilty as charged.  But I define the one (bag or duffle)as something you grab on the way out the door for a few days, that contains what you feel are essentials...and the other (pack/rucksack) for a long-term expedition in remote areas that would contain larger medical/survival gear & supplies, more ammo, food, hydration etc., in other words your life on your back.
