Default best baked bean recipe

so my dad made an awesome batch of baked beans tonight. he used 1 1/2 bag of northern beans, 1/2 cup molasses, 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, in a pottery pot, not the Dutch oven. baked at 250f for 8hrs. gave me the idea to find other great recipes. so lets hear them boys and girls!!!!

Yea, everyone here pretty much uses bacon or fat back for seasoning, which sucks for me because I'm allergic to pork and I can't eat beans unless I make them myself. I'm liking the sound of the first recipe!

Now what I really want to know is how to get the gas out of beans. Dry beans really do a number on my stomach. I've literally been afraid to light a cigarette for fear of the fumes!
