Dismissing and ignoring one of the most influential and powerful forces that has affected mankind since the beggining of time does not lead to "critical thinking".

Yeah. Common sense.

Teachers. I see most of my kids more than their parents do. I definitely do more than just teach math. I try to teach them to make wise choices, have self esteem, etc.......

Technically the answer is government, you know, law enforcement, etc.

There is an argument as to whether laws can dictate morals or if morals dictate law. Im inclined to believe the later.

"if morals dictate law"

if everyone had morals then there would be no need for laws.
But every man is different in body, mind and soul.

I agree. Making good decisions is intrinsic and laws do not stop bad people from making poor choices.

The argument here is that making something illicet or just generally "wrong" will not stop someone from doing something for moral reasons. Laws against beastiality for example are laws which exist because as a society it is morally objected to. Ergo, the moral make up of a culture can many times be reflected in the laws of that culture.

It also helps explain at least in part the issue we have with recidivism in this nation.

At the moment I can't see a Civil War happening? Economic collapse maybe?
Depends on your definition of a civil war...It wont be states v states this time around...it will be a people V govt revolution.

Strange turn here...

Understand that maybe half of the victims, I mean people (I can't say citizens), here and the administration want more of that government empwerment. NOW who's at odds with one another my friend?

Think Roundheads vs. Cavaliers. Loyalists vs. Patriots. Protestants vs. Catholics in Northern Ireland. There are many other imperfect analogies I won't site as they become too truly political or politically incorrect I should think. All of them bad too...
