DefaultAnyone have meat rabbits?

Around here I can't have chickens because it's against the rules but I don't remember any rules about rabbits.

Get with your local 4H, FFA, or county extension agent. They can probably give you all the info you need.

DefaultExpensive meat..........

I raised rabbits for meat untill the price of rabbit pellets drove me to kill the last 21 and made sausage. It was a lot of work and the kids in the neighborhood were always in my back yard, allways chasing the ones that they would turn loose. If you plan to raise rabbits for meat I'd go with free range and it will save you money on the feed bill. Good luck....

^^^ The most pissed-off i ever saw Mom & Dad's Mormon neighbor (very tolerant family) was after my sister's dog got to his rabbit pen. He thought he was just gonna walk into our yard with a shotgun and shoot the dog; i had to send him home with an apology on behalf of the dog & assurances that she would pay for the loss. Apparently, the dog only liked the legs and left the rest inside the cage.
