Antibiotics

So SHTF and you need general antibiotics like penicillin. None out there though.

Try to make your own or compound plants to net some similar results?

Veterinary supply houses and many grain & feed places have medicines for animals, many of which are human medications. Check them out.

True dat. I take horse antibiotics all the time. Well, not ALL the time, but anytime I need to. SMZs are the exact same thing as Bactrum and waaaaaaaay cheaper. It's really pretty handy, we do most of all our own vet stuff. So we're pretty stocked up with supplies.

So if any of you are in my neck of the woods and are in need of some expedient "emergency care", I can throw you on the desk in the tack room and stitch you up. :D

Well let's say both animal and human supplies are depleted or expired. You are on your own.

Don't ask how,
but I've got stacks of different antibiotics so I'd be set for at least a year.

But if you're sick and there are no supplies for you. Drink plenty of water, rest as much as you can, and eat some raw garlic.

Dune, what do you do with them?

Smoke them, rub them on your belly or suppository? http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/v...icons02743.gif

Horse antibiotics? Why the long face, Troy?

DarinCraft 01-29-2010 04:33 AM

Sulfa tabs or SMZ/TMP are a general antibiotic by prescription and are available at any tack supply house that sells veterinary supplies. I give them to my horses all the time and they are the same ones that my Doc prescribes.

Sorry I realized I duped a post
