I go with Glocks because they function everytime, require minimal maintenance, and I have about enough mechanical skills to hang a paper towel holder on a wall. If something goes wrong, instead of being up & running again in 10 mins, I'll have a bunch of screws all mixed up and probably won't even be able to find my hammer to put it back together.
I know nothing about ARs or AKs other than I want one (eventually maybe both). But based on the criteria why I go with Glock, from the reading I've done over the past month or so, the AK-47 is the best fit for me. Does this sound like a pretty fair analysis.
Sorry for resurrecting a zombie thread. But I thought there's already enough AK v AR threads--just haven't found my thoughts specifically addressed.
