Not the ones in my area. They hunt, fish, etc. on a regular basis. These people are the definition of preppers, and I know they will do what they have to in order to protect their own.

Humm? They won't salute our flag or defend our nation. They have always let other Americans die to defend their freedom.

This isn't in the politics threads, so let's not get political. The ones I know will defend themselves and their neighbors, if need be.

It's not uncommon to see Amish at the gun show I frequent. Usually its an older one showing a younger one the ins and outs of different shotguns. I have seen them looking over and handling sks, ak, and ar rifles.

I would have said the Amish would be mostly anti-gun. Maybe for dispatching animals, or possibly hunting......I wonder if they target shoot?

i think maybe we should learn more about the Amish and their way of life before making judgements about them first. here's a link to explain how their religion is based.

I manage a hotel. There are a bunch of Amish that stay with me about once a year. Maybe a family reunion type of thing. Every one of them had 12 or more kids. They could be their own militia. And I am pretty sure they do shoot.

probably less of a chance that the Amish would be trolling as probably very few even have computers. can't say that about the mall ninjas who play video games.

LOL, no, computers would definitely be outside of their rules. To the best of my knowledge, they don't even have electricity in their houses....

actually some do have electricity. it has a lot to do with each groups decisions on such things. some even have phones, but they are kept outside the home.

many that have electricity use generators or even solar power for providing electricity.
