In Alabama the game wardens have more search and seizure than the sheriff. In fact, the sheriff will get a game warden to ride with them for this purpose. But I have never met an Alabama warden on the lake, or in the woods that was anything but courteous.

Just got of the phone to the DNR here in Wis. and from what he told me about what I asked him it's the HUNTERS in Wis. that want a 9 day deer hunt! not 14 like Michigan but 9 short days - and bears take so long to get a kill tag because there over 100,000 asking for them! thats why it takes so long and last WOLVES will be like bears a LOTTERY SYSTEM when the FEDS realese them to the State.

^^^ I will admit that, when i worked for MS, every agency always seemed to be "understaffed".

Being a cop myself I can empathize with what most dnr people go through. I can say without exception every state I've hunted or fished in where I was checked, the officers have been courteous and professional. My problem is with the higher ups who run the agency. Everyone is entitled to be stupid sometimes, but those guys abuse the privilege.

Thats true Lonewolf , But all busseness have REMFs. I don't have to deal with them, it's the guys in the field that set the tone. We have one or two that even other DNR don't like. As for serching without a warrent Not happening no way no how!! Pat C.
