Become steel or get cut.

Depending on just where you are in the Great Land, North may be ....where it ain't.

Or so my lying $!%#@!! compass claims!

Actually when I was in ANWR on the North Slope, Magnetic North was about 23 degrees off from True North. With that large of a compass error, and maps that are..... works of speculative fiction, a GPS could be really handy.
What we have here is... failure- to communicate.

Lowa boots. Good boots can literally make or break your hunt.

For deer hunting other than warm waterproof clothes and boots.

I always have my Buck knife,hatchet,food/water,rangefinder,extra ammo, small first aid kit,and a cell phone for just in case, along with several other items in my day pack.

My favorite piece of hunting gear is my coveralls. I can wear whatever the crap I want underneath.

Here in the south you have to have hunting clothes for all weather. It could be 90 degrees at the beginning of hunting season and there could be snow on the ground at the end. And with the brush and the brambles you don't want to wear "good clothes" out in the woods.

But with my coveralls my hunting wardrobe is my normal wardrobe. I can even go straight to the deer stand from work still in my uniform when I'm on night shift.
